Six disciplines on the autonomy stack.
Smart Robo AI is a Vancouver robotics-autonomy AI studio — not a wellness brand, not a financial robo-advisor, not a toy-robot shop, and not a course. We design and deliver professional engineering for manufacturers, logistics operators, robotics OEMs and integrators who need perception, control and fleet intelligence they can sign off before anything moves on a live floor.
01 · Autonomy Strategy & Feasibility
Map the stack before you fund the build.
Most autonomy programmes stall because nobody wrote down what "done" means for the floor. Our strategy and feasibility work starts with your cell geometry, fleet size, sensor inventory and safety constraints — then produces a findings log with measurable outcomes, simulation coverage gaps and a phased roadmap your operations team can actually schedule. We interview shift leads, review existing ROS graphs and benchmark against comparable Canadian deployments. Deliverables include a scoped autonomy review, risk register and CAD budget bands for perception, control and integration — always with explicit uncertainty ranges, never a promise of flawless operation.
Typical range: C$18,000 – C$45,000 · 4–8 weeks
02 · Neural Perception & Scene Understanding
See the floor the way your robots need to.
Computer vision and sensor fusion models trained only on simulation often misread glare, label overlap and layout changes. We build neural perception pipelines mapped to your lighting drift, SKU variability and obstacle classes — lidar-camera fusion, depth segmentation and scene-understanding layers tuned with floor-captured data from your environment. Edge-case discovery sessions document failure modes before they reach production. Outputs include trained models, evaluation reports with confidence intervals, and integration notes for your existing perception stack. We work with Canadian privacy requirements when client imagery contains identifiable personnel or proprietary layouts.
Typical range: C$35,000 – C$120,000 · 8–16 weeks
03 · Reinforcement Learning & Control Policies
Policies that survive cardboard, not just rigid boxes.
Reinforcement-learning control for manipulation and navigation needs guardrails, human-in-the-loop oversight and sim-to-real validation before any release. We scope RL training environments against your actual tote profiles, aisle widths and handoff zones — then iterate through digital-twin replay and floor-test verification. Policies ship with explicit confidence ranges, rollback procedures and documentation your safety team can audit. We integrate with motion planning, path planning and existing PLC logic rather than replacing your whole automation stack overnight. Outcomes depend on maintenance discipline and layout stability; we document what we measured, not what we wish were true.
Typical range: C$50,000 – C$180,000 · 10–20 weeks
04 · Fleet Analytics & Predictive Maintenance
Plot telemetry per shift, not just per quarter.
Aggregate uptime dashboards can look healthy while night-shift localization failures cluster around a single reconfigured lane. Our fleet analytics work ingests AMR telemetry, SLAM drift signals, battery cycles and incident logs — then builds integrator-ready views that operations managers use in daily stand-ups. Predictive maintenance models flag bearing wear, sensor degradation and policy divergence before they become stop-the-line events. We deliver dashboards, alert thresholds and a data dictionary your IT team can maintain. Ranges below assume existing telemetry export; greenfield instrumentation is quoted separately after a data audit.
Typical range: C$25,000 – C$90,000 · 6–14 weeks
05 · Human-Robot Interaction & Safety Assurance
Handoff zones where people and robots share space.
Functional safety and human-robot interaction design belong in the same conversation as your grasp policy. We align autonomy stacks with applicable safety standards, conduct safety assurance reviews and document responsible-AI considerations for supervised operation — including e-stop behaviour, zone fencing logic and operator training artefacts. Edge cases from floor walks feed back into perception and control updates. We do not certify your entire facility; we provide engineering analysis, test protocols and findings your internal safety officers and integrators can act on. Weapons, surveillance and unsupervised public-facing autonomy are outside our scope.
Typical range: C$30,000 – C$95,000 · 6–12 weeks
06 · Deployment Integration & Responsible-AI Assurance
From simulation branch to production handoff.
Models that never leave the lab do not earn their shift. Deployment integration covers ROS integration, sim-to-real transfer, CI hooks for model regression and production delivery with clear project scope and acceptance criteria. Responsible-AI assurance includes bias and robustness checks on perception classes, logging for incident reconstruction and handover documentation that survives staff turnover. We work alongside your integrators and OEM partners — our studio in False Creek Flats is a deployment desk, not a hardware store. Retainer and partnership scopes for ongoing model QA are quoted after the first autonomy review.
Typical range: C$40,000 – C$200,000 · 12–24 weeks
All ranges are illustrative CAD estimates for Canadian engagements, exclusive of travel, third-party hardware and client-side infrastructure. Final quotes follow discovery. Past metrics on other pages are not guarantees for your environment.
